Mallow Festival - A Garden of Play & Poise

Mallow Festival - A Garden of Play & Poise

Designed by: Jack Hedigan, Horticulturalist, The Pavilion

Sophistication takes centre stage in this polished garden, where structure, minimalism and functionality are woven together. Designed for entertaining, this space balances classic planting with clever and contemporary features.

Neatly clipped Taxus balls and sculpted Buxus topiary bring year-round architectural form, anchoring the space with rhythm and geometry. Around them, soft layers of white Astilbes and airy white Linaria create feathery movement, a delicate contrast to the strong evergreen shapes.

Peonies in creamy lemon and pure white are scattered among pockets of white lilies and cheerful lemon daylilies, adding texture and a sense of joyful elegance. Their ruffled petals and vibrant tones embody the garden’s character - refined yet lively, functional yet ornamental.

At its heart stands a versatile dining table that seamlessly transforms into a pool table - a focal point that bridges play and poise. It invites guests to gather, dine, celebrate and enjoy. A sanctuary of symmetry and serenity, this garden is perfect for connection and celebration, offering a sense of occasion in every detail.
