Fritillaria imperialis ‘Orange Beauty’, commonly known as Crown Imperial, is an imposing spring-flowering bulb that creates a dramatic architectural display in the garden. Growing to around 1 metre tall, it produces a strong burgundy-toned stem topped with a ring of large, pendulous, bell-shaped orange flowers. Above the blooms sits a distinctive crown of green foliage, giving this unusual plant its characteristic appearance.
